We are looking for Senior/Principal HVAC Engineers to strengthen our HVAC department in Oslo. Aibel offers a unique opportunity to be part of the future in large-scale energy sector projects, including offshore wind, hydrogen, CO2 storage, as well as oil & gas. About the position
As a HVAC System Engineer at Aibel, you will define, size, and specify HVAC systems. You will be primarily working within the engineering group for industrial ventilation systems, and conduct among others airflow calculations, provide input to schematic 2D drawings and reports. Throughout all our studies and EPC projects, you will collaborate with highly skilled multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering accurate technical solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Lead HVAC Discipline in projects or support projects with senior System competence
- Analyzing the contract and relevant specifications
- Define design basis and system design philosophy for HVAC systems
- Conducting transmission losses and air flow rate calculations
- Contributing to the production of schematic D&ID drawings
- Selecting HVAC equipment in terms of capacity and suitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years' HVAC system engineering experience from larger engineering projects
- Fluent English language skills
- Experience from offshore greenfield projects is beneficial
