Your challenges
As our new Senior Project Manager, you will be located at our modern VELUX location in Skjern or Østbirk, and be part of the Drive Units and Controls team. In the team 14 direct colleagues are looking forward to welcome you, and you will be part of, and have a great deal of interaction across the overall Mechatronics and Digital Modules department with more than 50 colleagues. Topics are discussed in a casual tone and with a high degree of interaction between you and your colleagues. We have a natural focus on the technical aspects of our products, and we aim to develop innovative products and solutions in an informal and collaborative work environment.

As Senior Project Manager you will have the end-to-end responsibility of the project from the early qualification until the products are develop and are running in mass production. Depending on the complexity in your projects you will typical have the responsibility one or more project at the same time. On the larger projects, you may have one or more technical project managers dedicated to workstreams within your project, and some of your project may involve the interaction with external parties.

Moreover, your responsibility will be to:

• Define the design requirements – based on input from, and in collaboration with our marketing department, who delivers product requirements (including market, legal and internal requirements).
• Ensure that design requirements are defined in accordance with the product requirements - in collaboration with the involved development teams and Supply.
• Drive all aspects of the project, ensuring team members remain on track and deviations are effectively addressed.
• Present projects at gate reviews to senior leadership to assess project progress, share identified risks, and create action plans.
• Follow up on actions items from the gate and gate review and keep the project team and stakeholders informed of decisions and actions.
• Depending on the size and complexity of your projects, manage several project in parallel (schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables) and secure input from all the company's impacted functional areas.
• Set appropriate timelines, track key milestones, and report project progress against key milestones. It is vital to understand timing, relationships between activities, and steps required for each task in the project timeline, identify risks, and create contingency plans.
• Drive quarterly pipeline ideation sessions for NPL, cost out, sustainability activities and qualify ideas to projects as well as qualification.

Your qualifications
As a person, you are proactive with a can-do attitude and energy that inspires. You take the lead and motivate the whole project team on a day-to-day basis. You are open-minded, flexible, hardworking, and have a healthy sense of humour. You understand when to secure flexibility and when stability is needed – finding the right balance to be proactive and delivering on the plan, budget, and adherence to the specification.

You are a self-driven, independent person that gets your energy from goal achievements and working in a knowledge-intensive team based on collaboration and belief in higher collective work productivity. You are a great communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, and you communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing. We see it as an advantage if you speak and understand Danish.

To be successful, you need to:

• Have a proven track record in managing larger complex projects and understanding the essence in development of digital product consist of hardware, software and mechanical components.
• Create visibility of activities and risks while motivating the project team to follow plans and respect deliverables and milestones.
• Ensure scenario-based planning, timely mitigation, and escalating critical issues to project quality, delivery, and cost.
• Ensure buy-in from key stakeholders – and alignment of expectations.
• Be experienced within different development methods, such as Stage Gate, Agile and SCRUM and are able to manage hybrid models preferably half Dubbel and Safe agile.
• Have a technical educational background, e.g. as engineer having worked with hardware, software and mechanical components with commercial add on HD or similar.
• Bring a project certification, e.g. Prince2, Half double, Safe agile or similar.
