VELUX creates optimal living- and working environments by bringing daylight and fresh air into buildings. VELUX design, produce and sell roof windows for sloped and flat roofs, as well as sun tunnels, blinds and shutters. This specific role will focus on the sloped roof windows portfolio.

about the position
As Senior Product Developer at VELUX, you will join a dedicated team of 20 colleagues responsible for developing future sloped roof windows. You will be based at the VELUX Innovation Center in Østbirk, and from 2025 you will work in the first-class LKR Innovation House (also located in Østbirk), which will bring together VELUX research and development areas into a unique and collaborative environment that empowers exploration and creativity.

Your key responsibility will be to work on idea and concept development, product maturation, documentation, and - ultimately - implementation in the production. You will participate in project teams focusing on product construction in close collaboration with other parts of the organization. You will be a vital part in the collaboration with stakeholders such as internal production, market or external suppliers.

Responsibilities and assignments include:
- Acting as technical lead on idea and concept development, including visualization of physical or digital solutions.
- Ensuring the design and functionalities goes hand in hand.
- Facilitating internal prototype testing and development tests.
- Provide the process with robust design methodology.
- Performing simulation on relevant designs and features to qualify solutions.

your profile
We expect that you:
- Have a strong technical insight and interest in product development. Something you have showed over 5-10 years of working experience, since you attained your technical degree – for instance as a B.Sc. or M.Sc.
- Have experience with CAD design – experience with Creo will be an advantage.
- Have a high level of construction knowledge with a good ability to transform digital solutions into realistic physical products.
- Might have experience with mechanical simulations.
- Are able to communicate effectively in English.
