We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of BDR to lead our business development efforts and drive our growth strategy.

Job Overview:
The Head of BDR will be responsible for leading and managing the Business Development Representative (BDR) team. This role involves developing and executing strategies to identify and qualify new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of running a successful BDR team in a SaaS environment, particularly within the eCommerce sector.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruiting, Leadership, and Management:
      • Conduct recruiting processes to ensure that our BDR efforts are aligned with sales targets.
      • Lead, mentor, and inspire the BDR team to achieve and exceed targets.
      • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
      • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
    • Strategy Development:
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive BDR strategy aligned with company goals.
      • Identify key market segments and opportunities within the eCommerce sector.
      • Work closely with our Sales Ops Manager and marketing to develop lead generation and nurturing campaigns.
    • Performance Monitoring:
      • Set and track key performance metrics for the BDR team.
      • Analyze data to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
      • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with the CSO to build proper structures that ensures smooth lead handoff and effective follow-up.
      • Work with marketing to align messaging and campaigns with BDR efforts.
      • Liaise with product teams to stay informed about product updates and features.
    • Lead Generation and Qualification:
      • Oversee the development and execution of outreach strategies to identify potential customers.
      • Ensure the team effectively qualifies leads and schedules meetings for the sales team.
      • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage leads through the sales funnel.
    • Training and Development:
      • Develop onboarding programs for new BDRs.
      • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.
      • Stay updated on industry trends and sales techniques.
    The ideal candidate
    • 3+ years of experience in business development management
    • Proven track record of managing and scaling a successful BDR team in a SaaS environment.
    • Experience in the eCommerce sector is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of lead generation and qualification processes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools, such as Apollo and Similarweb.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
