Gas Trader

As a Gas Trader, you execute daily and with-in day trading and balancing of the gas portfolio. This role involves executing trading strategies, participating in 24/7 duty shifts, conducting ad hoc analyses, negotiating contracts, and staying current with regulatory frameworks. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Secure optimal trading and commercial balancing of the gas portfolio
• Execute on trading and balancing strategies
• Participate in 24/7 duty shifts, with on-call responsibilities until midnight
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and participate in various projects
• Negotiate contracts with existing and new counterparties
• Stay updated on regulatory frameworks
• Participate in relevant forums for the team
• Handle intraday balancing events
• Forecast customer demand and manage inventory accordingly

You are going to work across different stakeholders within:

• Gas Portfolio Management
• Sales
• Controlling

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Very good cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong contract negotiation abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in energy markets and gas trading is preferred
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks
• Ability to work flexible hours and participate in shift systems
