Software Test Engineer for the Combat & Self Protection team in Søborg

Terma A/S

Are you as enthusiastic for quality in software development as we are – combined with knowledge on how to work closely with software engineers?

Do you want to impact software which makes the world a safer place, while securing people through advanced technology?

And do you have a passion for early holistic testing within a collaborative software team of developers, testers, and other specialists?

The job description
As a test engineer in the Combat & Self Protection team in MDS (Multi Domain Systems) in Søborg, you will collect and refine knowledge, plan for quality, and be an important sparring partner for colleagues in and outside your team.

You will learn what to expect in real life when you validate defense scenarios, critical changes as well as you will challenge the team on how to test their code – you will be responsible for test activities, planning in the team, and taking part in activities to ensure project delivery.

Through our test community, you will also have a valuable cooperation with other colleagues and the Test Management team who contribute with methods, tools, automation, processes (and a ton of extra knowledge).

We work in scrum teams within our working family in the R&D MDS organization of 150+ highly knowledgeable and supporting technical experts, in an area of great focus and importance in Terma.

What is our company like?
We are an international company standing for world class expertise, delivering complex and high-tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology.

Our company culture is autonomous and engaging, and we acknowledge the importance of flexibility in a great working environment. On our various locations, we offer various social activities to bring all of our colleagues together.

In all: Terma is on an inspiring journey, where we grow in abilities, complexities, and size – and we hope you would like to be a part of this journey with professional and personal growth as one of the gratifying key elements.

How to succeed in this position?
We expect (or hope) you to have:

  • Solid experience with testing activities in software teams, with an understanding of what to best test where and when (being pragmatic and persistent the same time) – and how the tools can support this.
  • Knowledge of testing with agile development methods with an understanding of the values created by Continuous Integration and -Delivery (CI/CD).
  • Above all, a genuine appetite for testing, where you share expertise with colleagues, where each testing experience still presents an opportunity for you to learn something new.

Our domain is specialized and vast, and we need all the experts we can get – we are therefore active about your professional development and will support you in building knowledge and technical ownership in the organization.

What do we hope to find in you?
We expect you to be full of passion, one who actively follows through on your tasks, and not easily overwhelmed by a complex and highly specialized environment – instead, please show us that you can devise better ways.

You want to support the team, have fun with your work in the team, and take pride in communicating actively and acting proactively towards your teammates and stakeholders. You are structured and well-articulated in writing and speaking, as a minimum in English, preferable also in Danish.
