As HSE Manager within NOV SPS, you are responsible for the development, update, direction and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs in alignment with corporate policies and organizational plans; You will utilize your technical and professional knowledge to create policies and procedures to create a safe working environment, reduce accidental losses and protect company assets; ensure vendor, contractor and customer safety; and to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain and support the current ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 management system certifications. Act as a resource and provide functional support to management, supervision and work personnel in all matters relating to health, safety and environmental. You will drive continuous improvement while implementing KPI’s and metrics and providing accurate and relevant reports to key stakeholders.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

  • Cultivate a culture of safety and regulatory compliance, emphasizing incident prevention and environmental management.
  • Drive and oversee HSE programs and initiatives to promote a safety-first mindset across all operations.
  • Foster strong HSE awareness and personal responsibility among management and supervisors.
  • Lead risk assessments and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance HSE initiatives and enhance the organization’s HSE culture.
  • Work across departments to ensure consistent implementation of HSE actions and policies.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Learning

  • Champion ongoing improvements in HSE practices, aligning with the broader HSE organization within SPS.
  • Share HSE lessons learned and information to boost workforce awareness and safety.
  • Compile, publish, and communicate HSE metrics and statistics to drive meaningful change.
  • Analyze monthly HSE data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions and sharing results with the workforce.
  • Utilize data analysis and tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to improve HSE management efficiency.
  • Present strategic HSE findings and recommendations to senior management for visibility and action.

Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to HSE policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Stay current with legislative changes and update policies accordingly.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate work-related hazards and risks.
  • Develop, document, and test emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Manage environmental data collection and coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys with the Corporate HSE Team.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for identified risks and challenges.
  • Conduct routine site assessments and audits with the management team.
  • Ensure proper waste classification, handling, and storage per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date permits and certifications, including relevant internal and external databases.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of HSE professionals.
  • Implement and oversee HSE training programs to ensure all personnel are trained and equipped to perform safely and effectively.

MAIN REGUIREMENTS:

  • Higher level of education in Safety or Science
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and their hazards and familiarity with manufacturing environments
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO14001, 45001
  • MS Office package knowledge
  • Professional knowledge of English, Danish is desirable
