This pivotal position reports directly to our Chief Procurement Officer and is an integral part of our Group Procurement Leadership team.

A bit about your new role:
As the Procurement Director, you will inspire and influence the team to achieve exceptional procurement outcomes. You will drive teamwork and collaboration to consistently deliver strong operational and strategic results.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a talented team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Financial and Budget Oversight: Coordinate the annual budget setting process, monitor ongoing performance, and ensure delivery of cost savings, stretch targets, and value-added outcomes.
• Category Management: Develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with our business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee contract and supplier performance management, driving consistency in service, quality, innovation, sustainability, cost management, and supply resilience.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with market leaders and key stakeholders in supply chain, sustainability, finance, marketing, and other functions to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with business needs.
• Risk Management: Lead the risk and governance agenda, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure supply chain resilience.

Other key responsibilities:

• Procurement and Category Excellence: Lead and develop best practices in procurement, implementing standardized processes and ensuring local execution of category and sourcing strategies.
• Industry Trends: Stay ahead of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory changes to maintain competitiveness and relevance.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree; a professional CIPS qualification or similar is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, including functional leadership and spend coverage in both direct and indirect categories. Experience in international or matrixed organizations, especially in the CPG, food, and beverage industry, is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of developing and supporting high-performing teams.
• Communication and Influence: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Procurement Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes, ERP systems, and procurement tools, including commodity management.
• Change Management: Demonstrated ability to initiate and embed change, improve controls, and drive process improvements and digitalization.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a solution-oriented approach.
• Risk Management: Adept at managing risk to enhance supply chain resilience.
