We are seeking a passionate Business Analyst to join our growing IT team. As a key member of one of our Clinical Product Teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality and applying a risk-based approach when gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders in the business to understand their needs and translate them into clear and concise specifications for our development team.

You will be joining the Ascendis Global IT team consisting of 4 internal colleagues and consultants who are working out of our headquarter in Hellerup and also our US based Palo Alto office.

You will report directly to Lene Larsen, People Leader in Global IT, and work closely with Simon Rønne and Krishna Bavanam, Product Owners, on the functional side. You will be based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Gathering Information: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and document detailed business requirements. Conduct thorough analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business processes and needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments. Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
• Creating Building Blocks for Developers: Develop detailed and clear documentation, including functional specifications and user stories, to serve as the foundation for the development team. Work closely with developers to ensure a smooth transition from requirements to implementation.
• Data Analysis: Utilize analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide valuable insights. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
You may hold a relevant IT academic degree – i.e. Information or Pharma knowledge - or something similar. Most importantly you can analyze and visualize business needs and help deliver the solutions to those needs.

Furthermore, you have:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of business processes and structured approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Travel: 5-10 days per year.
