As a Product Owner , you will drive the turbine blade technical maturity, its improvements, all evaluations of technical solutions, and will need to ensure that the product achieves and maintains technical requirements throughout the life cycle.

As a candidate, you must have an engineering background with structural mechanics and composite material sciences.

Blade Structural Design – Product Owner
The Blade Structural Design Department within Blade Module is responsible for the Wind Turbine Blade Structural Design, contributing to the design specifications, certification process and supporting manufacturing and in-service Wind Turbine Blades.

You will be doing this by supporting the team on the design of the Wind Turbine Blades.

The position grade profile is based on the assessment of the qualifications and professional experience.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Drive the Wind Turbine Blade technical maturity and improvements, evaluation of the technical solutions to assure that the product achieves and maintain technical requirements throughout the life cycle.

  • Product ownership during design and prototypes phase taking a leading role in the development team for blade structure design
  • Align with chief engineers on major technical decision during design process facilitating technical solutions
  • Play a technically lead role in different phases of blade design, e.g., conceptual design, detail design, prototype, testing and certification
  • Work with a value chain approach to optimize the product in collaboration with different interfaces collaborating cross-functionally with other areas of the business
  • Establish a clear understanding of design drivers and structured approach to expand the boundaries
  • Contribute to calculation methods and tools development
  • Project resources for new developments
  • Evaluate structural analysis reports for Wind Turbine Blades certification process.
  • Drive failure mode analysis (D-FMEA).

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate must have an engineering background with composite material sciences and structural mechanics.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or allied disciplines (Aerospace Engineering, Naval Engineering, etc.)
  • Composite design and composite structural mechanics

Competencies:

  • Self-driven with high accountability.
  • High communication and analytical skills.
  • Availability to travel to Wind Turbine Blades factories and Wind farms.
  • Willing to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Following experiences would be considered:

  • Experience in leading technology projects.
  • Experience in Wind Turbine Blade Structural Design and certification process.
  • Work experience in wind energy industry

Excellent English skills both orally and in writing are a must in the international team, and it is of highest importance that you can communicate your results in a clear and convincing manner. Furthermore, you have a structured approach to your work, can handle multiple assignments simultaneously without losing overview and you are driving your work independently.

This position's grade profile is based on qualifications and professional experience assessment.
