We are looking for a Procurement and Contract Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) for Future Quality Control (QC) in Novo Nordisk. Apply today for a life-changing career.

The position
You will become part of the Project Management Office for Future QC – a capex greenfield construction project – focusing on procurement and contract management and will report directly to the Head of PMO. This role calls for a collaborative and engaging mind-set as you will be interacting with multiple existing central procurement organizations within Novo Nordisk, as well as establishing good working relations with the Global Project Management Office and the various external Contractors with whom you will be dealing with. This position will allow you to challenge yourself as you will be joining the team during a critical phase-shift from design to execution.

As a Procurement & Contract Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Effective procurement and contract management within the Future QC Procurement Strategy.
  • Implementation and management of professional sourcing and procurement methodologies with delivery of support as required.
  • Proactive and early identification of project risk through the effective management of schedule, cost, and design scope impact.
  • Taking ownership of the successful delivery of the contracts within your field of responsibility.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • BA or MA degree in Business Administration or similar.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Project Procurement or Contract Manager role, preferably within large CAPEX projects.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage contractual deliverables.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing contract cost schedules, change order management, liquidated damages management.
  • Relevant experience in engaging with multi-disciplinary teams within the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage.

Other than that, as a person, you are known for being self-driven, motivated, engaged, results-oriented, and open-minded. Your cross-cultural collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills are well-developed, and you thrive on taking the proactive approach in problem-solving when needed. Additionally, you possess excellent analytical and strategic skills, with a curious mindset and the ability to identify process optimization opportunities as well as identify risk mitigating initiatives in order to recommend appropriate actions.

Please note that for this position, you are also required to be fluent in spoken and written English.

About the department
The Procurement & Contract Manager position is part of the Project Management Office for Future QC in Novo Nordisk’s Fill & Finish Expansions department. The Project Management Office is responsible for strategy, governance, and all aspects of project control, including cost, risk, scope, and scheduling on the Future QC project. Our Future QC department is responsible for designing, planning, and building a major fill & finish expansion project in Novo Nordisk. We are currently focusing on the critical phase-shift from design to execution and are dedicated to ensuring the successful delivery of the project. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with senior colleagues and stakeholders globally, contributing to the development of fill & finish facilities of the future.

The Fill & Finish Expansions department is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employs approximately 28,500 employees. We are a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all major fill & finish expansion projects across PSQIT to serve the needs of millions of patients.
