As a Product Designer in Trackunit you play a key role within our growing Product organization. Your expertise in discovering, exploring, and defining both problems and solutions will empower our team at each stage of product development.

As the leading Product Designer for your product area, you will ensure that we consistently deliver true value to our customers, creating a valuable experience at every touch point.

You will join a growing and profitable scale-up of 400+ amazing people, and be responsible for setting the design direction for your product area that includes leads from Engineering and Product Management.

With locations in the hearts of Copenhagen, Kolding, Aarhus and Aalborg, we offer you a flexible setup with the possibility to work from one of our locations or remotely from anywhere in Denmark. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Who are you ideally?

  • You have product intuition, an extensive understanding of UX and have a strategic approach towards design.
  • Can argue and communicate for and against design decisions while always adhering to project scopes.
  • You know how to transform product requirements and user needs into tangible and testable solutions.
  • Data-driven approach. You always base your solution in customer needs.
  • Always work collaboratively and iteratively together with team members (especially with Product Managers and Engineers) or other stakeholders towards an outcome.
  • You have great attention to detail while also being able to think holistically when making decisions.
  • Contribute and promote our design system in the organization.
  • You have a genuine curiosity towards finding and solving the real problem.

Key responsibilities

  • Discovery and Research – conduct research to get deep insights on customer/user pain points and needs; synthesise pain points and guide others in the team to internalise and empathise customer perspectives.
  • Problem space definition – work with Product Management and Engineering to define user problems and needs to solve and jointly turn problems into scoped product requirements and later solutions.
  • Solution space definition – identify opportunities to solve; create concept wireframes and prototypes; incorporate feedback into the design solutions; create process flow diagrams for flows and processes.
  • Product Definition – design high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes; conduct cross-functional team refinement and feedback; create hand-off with design specs and thorough documentation for delivery to engineers.
  • Product Testing – conduct usability tests and refine the product to build; be available to answer questions for engineers during development and test solutions in QA and design review.

  • Meet and greet with Jonas Goth, who is the hiring manager and leader for this position.
  • Meet and greet with a colleague from the team, who you potentially will work closely with. We want you to meet different people within Trackunit in order for you to also decide whether you you could see yourself in the role and with the colleagues in the team.
  • Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. There are no correct answers - the aim is a dialogue about the results and Trackunit’s culture, so you’ll get to know us better as well.
  • Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete work tasks or challenges related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from across Trackunit, who you’ll also work closely with in the job.
  • If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself.
