Encodify is a globally recognized SaaS technology company at the forefront of the Marketing Work Management (MWM) field. Their MWM solutions, built on a no-code platform, facilitate efficient and streamlined collaboration among all stakeholders within the marketing value chain. In recent times Encodify has embarked on a significant transformation, transitioning beyond its origins as a consultant business with a software product. The company has strategically evolved into a fully-fledged Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. This journey signifies Encodify's commitment to innovation, scalability, and adaptability in meeting the evolving needs of its clients and the dynamic business landscape.

Following this transformation, Encodify has intensified its focus on the cloud aspect of its business. They are currently seeking a new Head of Cloud Operations to oversee the management and operations of their cloud platform. The duties of the Head of Cloud Platform include the overall management of the company's cloud operations on the GCP platform, while also designing, implementing, and managing the company's cloud infrastructure, as well as monitoring and optimizing its performance. The role is instrumental in compliance activities and the continuous strengthening of the security posture. As Head of Cloud Platform, you’ll be working across the organization to ensure that the cloud platform is aligned to the company roadmap.

Encodify is looking for an individual who possesses a high level of technical expertise in Cloud technologies and is capable of leading the department's employees. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on leader, functioning as a playing coach who is motivated to be actively involved in day-to-day operations, while also taking on managerial responsibilities. Encodify is currently undergoing a transformation phase, so the preferred candidate should have experience from a successful Cloud environment, capable of contributing both practical and managerial insights.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Design, implement, and manage the company's cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the cloud platform.
• Work with other teams within the company to ensure that the Cloud platform is aligned with their needs.
• Manage the cloud platform budget.
• Stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies.
• Train and develop the cloud operations team.
• Troubleshoot and debug our SaaS solution from an infrastructure perspective.
• Work with product ownership to define platform needs, perform discovery, and validate the feasibility of solution design before extending the platform.
• Participate in the handling of support cases and production issues.
• Analyze and perform security related testing of new and updated product capabilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate is expected to have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, but experience from a similar role is more important.

You are expected to have:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing.
• Preferably, experience with the GCP platform is desired, but it is also possible to come from other cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, as long as the candidate does not exclusively adhere to one product.
• Experience with Kubernetes Engine.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management tools and infrastructure as code e.g., Pullumi.
• Good working knowledge of operating Java web applications is a plus.
• Experience with cloud performance monitoring and optimization e.g., Datadog.
• Experience with cloud cost management and cloud security.
• Experience in leading a smaller team and being part of an overall senior leadership team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
