THE ROLE
At Hyme we are looking for a self-driven Part-time Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment where it is essential to manage multiple tasks. You will become part of our growing Finance team, with the opportunity to take on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities from the start and help shape the processes you will be responsible for.
In this role you will support in different financial matters and contributing to the financial processes and reporting within the company.
The position is part-time; 20-30 hours per week. We are flexible about the timing, actual number of hours and place of work if planned with the senior financial controller.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Payable: From making sure we have the needed approval of invoices to payment and reconciliation including comparison with purchase orders, registration of invoices with correct VAT, project code and payment terms together with payment and reconciliation of vendor balances.
- Credit Card Payments: Control and book credit card payments
- Employee Expenses: Control and book employee expenses
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card balances
- Monthly Reconciliations: Other monthly reconciliations
- Monthly Reporting: Support on the monthly reporting to management
- Project Reporting: Support on project reporting
All tasks and responsibilities will be in close cooperation with the senior financial controller. We are a start-up with big plans and the role can develop in different directions depending on preferences and wishes.
On short terms you will be able to participate in development of processes and implementation of a new ERP system if interested.
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
- Junior Accountant/bookkeeper: Minimum 1-5 years of similar work experience
- Debit and Credit Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of working with debit and credit
- Bookkeeping and Legislation: Knowledge of bookkeeping, Danish accounting legislation, and Danish VAT rules
- Supplier Invoice Handling: Experience with accounting flows and procedures including handling of supplier invoices
- Software Experience: Experience with bookkeeping systems and excel. We use E-conomic, Pleo, and Zenegy, but expect to change to another ERP system during 2025.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Danish and English, both verbal and written
