As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking a strong profile to lead our Operational Purchasing team withing the Supply Chain Department. It is a pivotal role for streamlining our operations, supporting the ambitious growth and boosting efficiency in the department.

The procurement activities at our company are characterised by deep understanding of our products, decision making based on facts and data, and collaborative, partnership-driven relationships with our suppliers. In this role, you will join an international team and lead five experienced and dedicated colleagues in Denmark and China and cooperate with our suppliers globally.

Lead and develop purchasing team in international department
You will lead and develop the operational purchasing team and ensure that the team has the talent, resources and readiness to meet short and long-term organisational goals. Your daily tasks will have great variety and you will, among other things, have responsibility for the following:

• Coordinate between our global teams located in Hadsten and Ningbo, ensuring alignment and integration of processes and timely execution of tasks
• Uphold a strong team atmosphere and foster collaboration across the organisation
• Perform daily purchase of goods, components and services related to the designated categories
• Handle RFQ with strong focus on product technical specification
• Review demand in the ERP system and provide make or buy recommendations based on product technical complexity and cost
• Lead commercial terms negotiation and cost optimisation within a dedicated area
• Control of data quality in the ERP in respect to vendor information, cost, delivery dates and product information
• Monitor supplier and department KPI and drive corrective actions and performance improvements in order to meet annual strategic targets
• Study and streamline existing processes and contribute to automation of non-value adding work related to purchasing.

We are seeking a dedicated team leader who will champion and execute the department strategy as a direct extension of the senior management. You will work in Hadsten and report to the Director SCM. You thrive in an energetic and ambitious work environment and are described by the following qualities:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with operational purchasing, preferably with a technical product
• Minimum 2 years of experience with leading a team
• Experience with remote management is an advantage
• You are a good Excel user
• You are a good negotiator, enjoying making a good deal
• You are structured and a team player
• You have great communication skills and empathy
• You are honest, reliable and trustworthy
• You speak fluent English.
