Senior Manager, Shopper&Channel On Trade

The Senior Manager Shopper & Channel On Trade at Carlsberg is a Global role responsible for developing shopper marketing strategies and channel-specific plans and initiatives aimed at accelerating growth in the on-trade channel.

This role focuses on understanding shopper behaviour, creating compelling shopper experiences, and ensuring effective execution of marketing programs across various on-trade channels such as bars, restaurants, and pubs.

What you’ll be doing
Specifically, you will:

  • Be the voice of Shopper and Channel within the Global marketing teams.
  • Define and embed a consistent Channel Segmentation Model.
  • Play an essential role in the Carlsberg Way 3Y Commercial planning process by shaping Channel and Shopper strategic frameworks.
  • Be responsible for Channel portfolio strategy & Channel Plan Tools development and roll out into channel blueprints.
  • Integrate segment specifics into clear and focused PICOS templates. You will also provide input into the FIT questionnaire to ensure it is aligned with channel and shopper requirements, standards, and practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Global brand teams, Commercial Finance, and Regional and Market stakeholders.
  • Manage key channel-specific initiatives including the Draught Master Extra 10 rollout.
  • Build and engage regularly with the Global On Trade Community to build a connection between Global strategy and local execution.
  • Manage external Shopper Marketing agency roster to deliver Channel & Shopper specific POSM and Activation recommendations.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will leverage insights, creativity, and good collaboration skills to enhance and shape 3Y Brand and channel plans through to execution in local markets.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, or channel marketing within the FMCG or beverage industry.
  • Good understanding of the on-trade environment and shopper behaviour
  • Experience with developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decisions.
  • Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
