Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant which will play an important role with regards to finance in Terma Space Romania. You will be responsible for local compliance and have the responsibility for daily financial tasks while coordinating with the HQ located in Denmark. Experience how we operate within highly specialized areas like the defense industry, aerospace, security, and space.

Responsibilities
Your tasks will include the following:

• Prepare Annual report for Terma Space Romania.
• General activities in financial controlling.
• Have the responsibility of VAT, Intrastat and Corporate Income Tax reporting.
• Act as first contact for local tax-authorities and social security.
• Manage annual audit of financial statements.
• Manage audits regarding Corporate Income Tax, VAT, social security.
• Ad-hoc support to other Terma Companies.
• Support to Budget preparations.
• Overall responsibility for Bookkeeping requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies
You will have an educational background as registered accountant or similar education combined with experience.

Have already acquired knowledge in:

• Minimum 3 years of experience from an accounting department or an audit firm and have a strong knowledge with Romanian accounting principles and IFRS would be an advantage.
• Requirements for VAT, Intrastat and Corporate Income Tax return
• Draft of Annual reports

What you need to know as well:

• We are looking for a relationship builder and a team player, who masters to cooperate and coordinate broadly with colleagues as well as external advisors at all levels, and who has good knowledge of all processes within a finance function.
• You will be working in a very diverse international environment placed in Brasov in Romania
• We need you to be goal oriented with high integrity and responsibility in relation to meeting deadlines, and you thrive in a busy working environment with numerous parallel activities.
• You have to be a good communicator in Romanian and English both in verbal and in written.
• We assume you are mastering MS office programs and are as a person well-structured at a sufficiently detailed level.
• While and at the beginning of your work you could travel more to meet the team in Denmark, in general, you should be ready to travel twice per year for business purposes. There are team members in DK, NL, DE, AT, SG, IN, ID.
• You must be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, able to work calmly and accurately under stress and able to work independently without supervision.
• ACCA is a plus.

This is a full-time position, located at our office in Brasov, Romania with planned start date of 15th of August 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
