We are looking for an Onshore Transmission Package Manager to take the lead and responsibility for overseeing the development and implementation of the onshore components of the offshore wind farm transmission system at landfall. This includes managing the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the onshore substation, transmission line, and connection points to the Grid. You will be based in the Philippines (Manila) and report to the Co-CEO of the Phillipines Market in COP.

You will support initiatives including:

  • Oversee the entire transmission package from design to commissioning
  • Lead the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for onshore transmission infrastructure
  • Manage the design and engineering of onshore substations, transformers and transmission lines
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Monitor the quality of package-related work and take a proactive role in meeting quality standards
  • Coordinate with other package managers to ensure integration and alignment with offshore components
  • Manage and secure necessary resources and permits (personnel, equipment, materials) to meet project schedules
  • Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support as needed
  • Prepare and manage reports on project progress and issues, and maintain relevant documentation
  • Comply with safety policies and regulations, and ensure a safe working environment; Ensure high focus and best-in-class management of health, safety, and quality for all involved
  • Collaborate with the Technical Development Director, Transmission Director and Head of Transmission Development on each project to support their agendas from a technical point of view with the onshore transmission package works.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be an Electrical Engineering degree or similar level of education and 5~10 years of experience in EPC Project Management from Substations, Power Plants, or large industrial electrical facilities
  • Demonstrate project management experience and/or certificate from executing a substation package or similar asset, and preferably PMP(PMI) qualified
  • Strong technical understanding of the scope and associated supply chain
  • Strong commercial understanding and contract management/negotiation skills
  • Have leadership skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
  • Be fluent in English: Able to thrive and develop in an international- and multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience in managing contracts for substations and transmission lines is welcomed
