Join Defence Services in a highly technical role
You will join a team of specialists, architects and project managers in our Nordic constellation and be part of our Defence Services organisation. The team is committed to delivering and implementing Systematic’s command-and-control (C2) solutions in the Royal Danish Army and the Nordics.

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will take a leading role and be a key player in delivering our SitaWare and Iris suite to our Defence customers, mainly in Denmark but also in the other Nordic countries. Tactical decision-making is crucial for being able to execute on strategy, yet it can be achieved through an integrated, ultra-modern command-and-control toolset. The solution is all-encompassing – radio, mobile, vehicle, web and application-based – with reporting across the spectrum of devices back to command HQ in real time. You will be working closely with multiple customers to roll out a mission-critical system that creates value by simplifying decision-making within areas such as solution design, configuration, installation, technical support, technical training, interoperability, development and testing.

Providing technical support and advice both on site and back office, your key tasks will include:

• taking on a leading role while designing, implementing and supporting technical solutions
• conducting technical training for our customers – both in classroom environments and in workshop-like set-ups
• supporting the training administrators and end-users
• aligning and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants and colleagues at Systematic
• providing first and second-level customer support.
  

Your place of work will be at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark, and you should expect 20-30% travel activity.

Broad technical skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you must have strong technical skills combined with several years of experience from a similar role. You enjoy customer-facing activities, conducting training and providing technical support.

Ideally, you:

• hold a technical degree at Bachelor or Master’s level
• are a strong and collaborative communicator in both Danish and English
• enjoy working in an agile and changing environment (Scrum experience is a plus)
• are eager to make a difference and not afraid of stepping outside your comfort zone.
  

We are also looking for a colleague with technical skills within:

• Windows
• Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu)
• SQL
• Network (IPv4, TCP, UDP, routing, firewall, multicast)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
• Active Directory
  

Moreover, if you have experience within some or all of the following you will be one step ahead: tactical communications systems, software development, integration and implementation, IT infrastructure, software and system testing and/or test management (e.g. ISTQB), technical training, external customer-facing projects, delivering services and consultancy in the IT sector.

It would be an advantage if you have a military background from an IT-related role in the Danish armed forces.
