Head of Buying & Sourcing

Samsøe Samsøe is looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Buying & Sourcing to manage our buying team and take lead in our worldwide production. You will become part of a team with six dedicated buyers, as well as work closely with the Design-, Pattern Making-, logistic and CSR team. The ideal candidate has several years of experience leading a buying team from sourcing to final product and one who can relate to Samsøe Samsøe DNA and is eager to move the brand forward.

In this position, you will

• Lead and manage the buying department, overseeing all aspects of buying operations and ensuring the achievement of company targets.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the buying function.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Track and report on key metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and innovations.

For this position, we are looking for someone with

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role in the fashion industry.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing strategies.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and market trends.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent skills within applications such as Excel and PLM(Kubix)
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
