We are looking for 12 talented and ambitious Engineering, scientist candidates or experienced Manufacturing Associates to run the newly established Operations Control Center (OCC) at our site in Hillerød.

The Operations Control Center (OCC)
The OCC is a one point of coordination point and physical area for our Site Manufacturing execution. The OCC is first point of contact in case of manufacturing interruptions, on-calls from manufacturing associates that need support and help. The OCC is a monitoring control center that consolidate data sources across multiple areas ensuring we have the overview of our process steps, tracking of equipment status and activities performed in various areas. The OCC is pro-active workplace that compile an enormous set of data and identify patterns that could led to business interruptions. Being part of the function requires that you also attend the manufacturing shopfloor, are interested in hands on solutions on the manufacturing shopfloor and solve issues detected in the OCC. The issues could be automation signals needed to be validated, engineering alarms and miscellaneous.

The Team
You will join a team of 12 dedicated employees who support the Drug Substance Manufacturing 24/7/365 on a shifting time schedule. The team entails cross functional deliverables thus working closely with several other departments at the Hillerød site. One of the things that characterises the team is collaboration and our people first approach. The exciting journey you will be embarking on:
In this position, you are responsible for supporting the manufacturing shop floor by solving issues daily 24/7/365. The daily issues and challenges combine multi-disciplinary areas reaching from automation, process, electrical to documentation and operation handling issues. Being the Engineer/Scientist/Experienced Manufacturing Associate, you liaise between the different departments to ensure a rapid solution is identified. The LEAN methodology is expected to be applied entailing systematic problem solving. The overall goal is to proactively prevent any loss of quality, product or production time by identifying error patterns or trends leading to business interruptions. This is done by monitoring the daily manufacturing process through monitoring our processes.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Daily monitoring of process steps and batch execution.
  • Participation and interaction with escalation meetings.
  • Liaise with various support departments on coordination of shutdown need.
  • Proactively identify issues through analysis and process step governance both Upstream & Downstream.
  • Work across multiple departments while keeping effective and responsive communication on issues with stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the overview of ongoing activities in the different areas
  • Proactively continue to identify areas considered a risk for business interruptions.
  • Solve technical issues on the manufacturing shopfloor related to automation errors, engineering issues etc.

Your talent
The role requires thorough understanding and ability to execute against regulatory compliance parameters and ideally experience with GMP. You have excellent English skills verbally and in writing and excellent oral and written communication skills, as you must be able to lead departmental and / or cross-functional meetings.

Further professional and personal qualications:

  • An educational background as Engineer, Process Engineer, Automation, bachelor’s in technology management and marine, Engineering, or similar. You have a bachelor’s or master’s Degree within Engineering, Pharmacy or similar and we welcome both newly graduated profiles as well as more seasoned profiles.
  • You could also have a background as an Operator with on shop floor experience.
  • It will be a further advantage if you possess Automation background or skillset. You have worked with technical problem solving and is familiar with LEAN principles.
  • You have a successful track record in working in high pace environment communicating across multiple levels and organisational functions while keeping a calm overview.
  • You are familiar with working with databases, tools, and systems (MS Project, Excel etc.).
  • Ideally, you have experience with manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies or similar production of proteins, perhaps as a operator/lead on a similar facility.

As a person you have a strong sense of urgency about solving problems, prioritizing, and getting work done. You have good energy, you are proactive and you enjoy working in a dynamic and innovative environment. You embrace having a growth mindset aiming on continuous learning and development.

What we offer
We are kick-starting this newly established program where we will provide a career path accelerating your learnings thus providing a skill set second to none at our site. The role is aiming at being a 2-year assignment and a steppingstone before moving into a new position based on your experience and talent. During this 2-year assignment, you will go through a structured and meticulous training program where you will participate in ongoing on shop floor job training at our site in Hillerød. We aim to onboard you the first 1-2 months in our training programme with various department and hereafter you to step into your new role in a work schedule rotation.

Employment Category

During the first 1-2 months, you will be employed in regular office hours participating in our training programme. Subsequently you will join a 5-weeks work schedule.
