Student Assistant / Intern - ESG Finance

In the role as a Student Assistant / Intern in ESG Finance, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will support our ESG Finance and Sustainability team in developing and implementing financial controls, policies, and procedures related to ESG. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of GN's journey in adapting to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and achieving our sustainability goals for 2025, 2030, and beyond.

The team you will be part of
You will join a dedicated ESG Finance and Sustainability team, working closely with 7 colleagues who are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment and society. Our team culture is collaborative, engaging, and focused on continuous improvement and innovation in ESG practices.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

• Collaborate with the ESG Finance and Sustainability team to develop and implement ESG-related controlling and reporting systems.
• Assist with ESG reporting in accordance with CSRD and coordinate with third-party assurance providers.
• Stay updated on the latest ESG and CSRD trends, regulations, and best practices, and advise the organization on their implications.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:

• Are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Have experience (or an interest) in ESG controlling, data systems or reporting. Are proactive, organized, and focused on quality in the tasks you get.
• Are proficient in IT systems and applications.
• Have the ability to manage tasks and stakeholders independently.
• Are proficient and confident in writing and speaking English.
