We are looking for a talented student to join our ESG Accounting and Reporting Team anchored in the Group Strategy, Sustainability and Project Management Office department at European Energy. We offer you a chance to take part in driving sustainable change through ESG data excellence used to make strategic data-based decisions, secure progress on strategic sustainability priorities internally, and document performance externally. This position requires attendence at our office near Copenhagen.

The team
Group Strategy, Sustainability and PMO is an international and engaged group of 30 people with diverse backgrounds. Overall, we are responsible for shaping and executing the strategic agenda, leading M&A processes, setting our ambitious direction for sustainability, and building, implementing, and maintaining a best-in-class future operating model. Our team reports directly to the company CEO, and you will be reporting to the Senior ESG Accounting and Reporting Manager.

This means that as an ESG Student Analyst you will be involved in projects in a similar fashion to our full-time employees and take part in all project activities end-to-end including planning, meeting facilitation, communications, etc.

How you will create impact
As an ESG student analyst, you will be part of the ESG Accounting and Reporting Team in which we focus on driving sustainable change through ESG data excellence, which means that you will support with:

  • Observing and reviewing ESG reporting standards and tendencies, and ensure compliance with these
  • Maintaining and updating the ESG data setand ensure that all ESG performance indicators are aligned with internal strategic priorities, external legal requirements, and formal ESG reporting standards
  • Upholding and improving ESG data qualityincluding reporting systems, group consolidation, data controlling, accounting policies, data flows, controls, documentation, and external review
  • Monitoring and reporting on ESG performance and progressin monthly, quarterly and/or annual publications targeted at specific and diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Engaging with and supporting internal and external stakeholdersregarding ESG data and ESG reporting

We are looking for an individual who is currently enrolled in a bachelors degree within business administration, economics, finance, accounting, sustainability, and/or ESG and who;
