Lead Category Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the strategic direction for IT and digital procurement across the globe. As a part of your role, you´ll act as functional coordinator and sparring partner for the IT&D Procurement team.

We are approx. 45 people covering travel, indirect and IT Procurement. You'll be part of the category management department and will be the functional leader of the IT&D Category team of approx. ten people. You’ll play an important role in:
- working with decision makers to develop and maintain a global category strategy for IT and digital procurement
- build and managing a pipeline of projects within the IT and digital procurement scope and prioritising resources
- providing guidance and mentoring to colleagues in the IT&D category team
- connecting with other Category Leads across categories and coordinate initiatives
- building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the realisation and optimisation of commercial value
- monitoring market trends and technological advancements to keep procurement strategies up to date.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a cross-disciplinary background based on a master’s degree in IT, economics, business, or law and have proven experience with IT category management
- have a proven track record of idea generation and development of optimization initiatives, such as software and infrastructure landscape optimization
- have proven track record of leading large and complex IT sourcing projects and negotiations
- have the credibility and gravitas to work with C-Suite level stakeholders
- are proficient in procurement of SAP and Microsoft suites
- thrive in an international environment and can create good relationships with your team members, and stakeholders around the world.
