Since the end of the 1800s, DLF has based its business and everyday life on quality in everything we do. We are at the forefront of researching greener, cleaner and healthier products for all our many customers around the world. What started as a really good idea for Danish farmers has over the years become the world's largest grass seed business. Our products are today marketed and sold in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The Head Quarter is located in Denmark – today in Roskilde but moving to our new Head Quarter in Smørum in 2025 - where you will have about 80 smiling colleagues from different functions. You will be the leader of a dedicated team of 8 controllers/financial assistants and will be directly reporting to the VP of Finance Greater Europe (GEU). Here you will be responsible for the finances of our 3 Danish operating companies, 2 Swedish, a holding company and a finance company – with a total turnover of approximately DKK 3 billion.

The Finance Team plays a vital role in ensuring that these expectations are met, and the Finance Team will be pivoting in bringing us to the next level.

The team is responsible for planning, executing and monitoring the financial transactions from our European activities, supporting our entities on a day-to-day basis through Subject Matter Expertise, and being a valuable business partner for our management and local entities. We aim not only to drive the financial transactions, but also to bring value into the processes, being agile and partnering up with our colleagues in the business to design a world-class operation.

• Managing a high-performing team, with a can-do attitude and high-quality mindset
• Plan and monitor the processes to be efficient, lean and solid. The processes must be built for scalability, thus be available to absorb additional activity where required
• Providing reporting and transparency of data points, efficiency, execution, deficiencies etc.
• Ensuring that the different companies comply with applicable legislation within reporting and compliance, tax, accounting, VAT, etc.
• Being a trusted and valuable business partner for our colleagues in the business, driving an internal “call center” for all our colleagues in need of support.
• Ensure solid execution of financial transactions and controlling for:
  • Order-to-Cash (Customer Master data, Order management, Invoice creation, Accounts Receivable management, Credit monitoring etc.)
  • Procure-to-Pay (Vendor Master data, Purchase Order management, Accounts Payable, Cash & Bank management etc.)
  • Record-to-Report (Financial transactions, Tangible and Intangible assets, Tax & VAT, Controlling, Month-end-Closing, Reporting, Budgets etc.)

As a person, you can recognize the following:

• Has strong analytical skills, good overview, a can-do attitude and a sound balance between a sense of detail and “getting the job done”
• Understands a high-quality mindset is important; we have high ambitions in DLF and want this to start from the very foundation, our transaction level.
• Has a theoretical background in HD accounting / cand.merc. level and is updated on rules and trends within the subject area
• Are innovative and can challenge the status quo where needed
• If you have experience with projects in digitalization and automation – beyond country's borders, it is an advantage
• Presumably come from auditing - preferably with experience from international clients - or you are currently in an accounting/finance function in an internationally oriented company
• Has experience as a leader and is known for being a delegating, involving and motivating leader
• Fluent in Danish and English

We use NAV Dynamics as an ERP system and Onestream as a consolidation system - so knowledge of this will be an advantage.
