Senior Cloud Data Warehouse Platform Developer

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll be part of driving our next generation cloud-based data warehouse ecosystem where you’ll provide modern, customer-centric, innovative, and reliable data products to support the growth trajectory of our organisation. You’ll work hands on with onboarding data, build data models, and make the models available for consumption. You’ll also transform the knowledge from these activities into easily deployable and automated data products.

Welcome to Data & Analytics
You’ll be part of Data warehouse team at Ørsted Data Ecosystem where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for developing and operating the cloud data warehouse products. Our data ecosystem consists of several teams that offer fundamental data capabilities to our entire organisation, incl. data lake, streaming, cloud data warehousing, and data management. You’ll be collaborating across the different teams to offer fully deployable and integrable data products, spanning best-in-class technical cloud setup. As a team, we embrace outcome instead of output, believe that respect and good collaboration is an absolute base for great results and value, as well as accommodate family commitments you may have.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • optimising and ensuring smooth operations of existing data warehouse on AWS and Azure
  • proposing patterns and best practices for ‘ingestion to consumption’ data warehouse products
  • performing PoCs on cloud agnostic data warehousing technologies
  • migrating current on-premises data warehouses to new platforms
  • ensuring data observability and optimal performance of cloud data warehouses.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have proven, significant experience with AWS Redshift development and administration and other components, such as S3, IAM, AWS Glue, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, preferably with additional experience with Azure Synapse
  • possess strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, incl. data modelling, ETL processes, and dimensional or data vault modelling
  • are proficient in SQL and experienced with database optimisation techniques
  • know scripting languages, such as Python
  • preferably have some experience with Terraform, Synapse, DBT, Airflow.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
