Strategy and Business Development Manager

What will you do?
As our Strategy and Business Development Manager you will gather and analyse insight into the competitive environment, relevant market dynamics, threats and opportunities. You will assist in setting, following, and adjusting the long-term organizational strategy and support the Leadership Teams and Board by creating strategic proposals and presentations.

Your main tasks include:

  • Taking part in and helping drive key strategic projects within areas like fleet expansion, M&A, geographical expansion, scope expansion commercial excellence etc.
  • Tracking technological progress and innovation within the industry to ensure that relevant developments are pro-actively taken into consideration in the operation and strategic direction of Cadeler.
  • Identifying and researching potential organic and inorganic growth opportunities that can help enable the strategy.
  • Conducting efficiency and optimization analyses of operation, fleet and scopes to identify and propose mitigation and improvement solutions.
  • Gathering contract and client data to help analyze comparative value creation and value direction within different segments.
  • Identifying and researching potential clients, investors, strategic suppliers and other relevant stakeholders, while creating and giving presentations to relevant parties.
  • Supporting the commercial team with insights and strategic support in project selection and tender processes.

We are looking for a commercial and strategic profile, who has strong analytical abilities and a curious mindset. Someone who is an excellent collaborator with strong stakeholder management skills and who excels in project management and planning.

We think you will be a good match if you have some of the following competencies:

  • An academic degree in commercial, strategy, technical, engineering or another relevant field required.
  • 3 years of experience in management consulting, M&A, business development, commercial strategy, corporate strategy or similar.
  • Excellent written, graphical, and verbal communication skills, incl. in Excel and PowerPoint, allowing you to structure clear and impactful storylines supported with qualitative and quantitative analysis for executive audiences.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken is required.
  • Flexibility to engage in travel activities when necessary.
  • Technical and engineering capabilities and familiarity with and understanding of the industry can be an advantage but is not a requirement.
