In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of aligning our business initiatives with comprehensive budget plans. Your expertise will drive our forecasts, adapting to both internal shifts and external trends, ensuring our Commercial team meets its goals.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and Manage:
Create a rolling 18-month Commercial Plan, keeping all KPIs in focus. - Track and Analyze:
Monitor budget performance, identify discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments. - Collaborate:
Work with key stakeholders (Finance, Merch Planning, Product, and Space) for unified and timely delivery of the Commercial Plan. - Refine Processes:
Continuously improve planning and budgeting methodologies and processes. - Forecast:
Create and maintain rolling financial merchandising forecasts based on historical data and business initiatives to ensure optimal inventory levels. - Adjust Dynamically:
Modify forecasts in response to changes in the business environment and performance metrics. - Facilitate Communication:
Develop methods for communication and alignment across multiple functions to provide visibility and synchronization. - Support Planning:
Assist in long-term and medium-term planning by offering insights and scenario modelling. - Manage Process:
Ensure timely budget creation and communication through effective planning.
What You Bring
:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. - Experience:
5+ years in retail planning, merchandising, or a related role. - Technical Skills:
High proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods to analyse and identify trends. Advanced Excel and Microsoft presentation skills. - Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Initiative:
Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop.
