Pricing and Tender Manager with Commercial Mindset for Unicon's Sales Department

Do you want to be part of Unicon's sales process and perform cost estimates and cost evaluations for construction projects in Denmark? We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Pricing and Tender Manager who, with direct reference to the Sales Director, will become a sparring partner for the sales organization and be responsible for ensuring that the pricing of concrete and services, supports our current practices.
About the Job
You will be part of a company consisting of nearly 400 dedicated colleagues who work daily to ensure efficient and professional delivery of products and services to our customers. As a Pricing and Tender manager, you will act as a sparring partner for the sales department, ensuring the right overview of raw materials so that we can make the right decisions. This includes close dialogue with raw material suppliers. You will also have a role in supporting calculations of CO2 emissions for our customers, including benchmarking our products, which should enable us to challenge our customers on sustainability aspects.
Your Responsibilities and Tasks
- Prepare initial cost estimates and submit offers to specific customer segments
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers (KAM) to create initial cost estimates for customers
- Perform post-calculations on both ongoing and completed projects
- Develop customer-specific price lists
- Collaborate with raw material suppliers and other relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to systemic improvements and development
- Ensure that data is stored and archived correctly
- Understand end-to-end cost structure
- Handle ad hoc tasks
Analytical and data-oriented with good collaboration skills
This is a new position in Unicon, and we need for you to have a curious mindset in designing and elaborate best practice for pricing management.
You will be part of our sales team, where the overall goal is to ensure that our decisions are always based on a valid and data-driven foundation. Therefore, it is important that you are analytically minded, have a good understanding of numbers, and possess strong calculation skills. Additionally, you have a good understanding of the circumstances of pricing based on a cost-plus and value-added approach, which enables you to constantly challenge the sales organization. You have strong collaboration skills, as a large part of your daily work involves collaborating with other parts of the organization, including Finance, to ensure optimization - both in terms of calculations, logistics, and available raw materials. Experience from a production company is preferred, and if you have experience from an international company, it is also a big plus.
Furthermore, we prefer that you
- Have a commercial education and 3-5 years of experience with sales accounting and calculation
- Are good at planning, coordinating, and prioritizing tasks
- Possess strong IT and software skills and have experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Salesforce
- Have experience in providing professional back-office service
