About The Job
We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage and drive the Global Automation and Electrical organization, strategy, and development within our Food Systems business unit (BU FOS). In this role, you will have leadership responsibility for the electrical and automation department in Engineering & Supply (E&S) in Copenhagen, as well as functional leadership for our seven E&S sites worldwide. Your mission will be to develop standardized electrical and automation solutions globally, transforming them into a competitive advantage for BU FOS. Your tasks will be:
- Ensure excellent cross-functional collaboration within the global electrical and automation network across E&S sites.
- Plan and coordinate project work to secure optimal utilization of resources globally.
- Develop and implement strategic programs for electrical and automation offerings in BU FOS.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Capture customer feedback on plant reliability and improvement ideas to enhance future designs.
- Support sales, engineering, and project management to ensure design and offerings meet customer expectations.
- Foster a business culture with a high level of customer centricity.
- Stimulate, motivate, and inspire team members through emotional involvement, acting as a positive role model.
At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based at our Copenhagen office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30-50 days per year.
What You Know
You hold an engineering degree at the university level, with a deep and comprehensive knowledge of electrical and automation engineering. This robust educational background equips you with the technical expertise required to excel in your field. Your skill set extends beyond technical know-how, encompassing strong leadership and management abilities. You have significant project management experience, allowing you to oversee complex projects from inception to completion with precision and efficiency.
Additionally, you possess a keen understanding of business principles, enabling you to align engineering projects with broader organizational goals. Your financial understanding further complements your business acumen, allowing you to manage budgets and financial aspects of projects effectively.
