As an IT Architect, you lead the architectural design and governance ensuring solutions align with business objectives and strategic goals. You define high-level designs, establish architecture principles, and document non-functional requirements as well evaluating best-fit vendors to ensure fit-for-purpose third-party solutions. You will take part in creating a target architecture for Nordea Life & Pensions.

Success in this role requires a strong technical background, proficiency in solution design, and experience with architecture governance frameworks. Your communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging stakeholders and building trust.

You will be part of the “Technology” department, in which we aim at building a best-in-class technology platform providing state-of-art solutions tailored to achieve our ambitious objectives. We embrace cloud and are properly the financial institution in Danmark furthest with implement a full cloud platform using Azure, Salesforce, Snowflake etc. “Technology” embodies a dynamic mix, combining a start-up mentality with well-established processes. We actively challenge the status quo, consistently questioning our approach while acknowledging that we don't need to address every aspect simultaneously. The environment at "Technology" reflects a balance, allowing us to navigate the complexities of our mission with agility and innovation.

Your responsibilities will include, while but not be limited to:

• Lead IT architecture on assigned projects
• Define solutions and produce architecture deliverables (Principles, HLDs , NFRs)
• Participate in architecture governance, steering work towards strategic and business value
• Drive advisory, concept development and PoCs
• Actively participate in design reviews, providing expert feedback and building trust
• Serve as the technical authority in vendor and technology selection, ensuring best-fit solutions. Continuously refine and review engineering standards and templates
• Play a key role in the architecture community to make sure we all learn

The role is based in Copenhagen.

As these are IT Architect positions with high level of complexity, we expect you to have years of experience from similar positions, not necessary from Pension but financial industry would be a plus.

Your background:

• Relevant IT architecture experience (minimum 7 years) and strong and broad technical background
• Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders and building trust as a domain expert
• Structured and has a sense of quality, detail, and deadlines
• Relevant education i.e. Bachelor, PhD or Master’s degree
• Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written
