Lead Maritime Specialist

Join us in this role where you’ll be working with activities ranging from technical support to logistic projects with the goal of maintaining and improving our maritime setup. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions to support the logistic challenges of our offshore wind farms.

Welcome to Operations Excellence & Logistics
You’ll be part of the Logistic Technical Leads team where you, together with your colleagues, will be focusing on technical aspects related to maritime logistics servicing offshore wind turbines, offshore substations, and other assets. The team performs overall analysis, recommendation, and optimisation of logistic concepts in cooperation with other teams in the organisation. As a team, we work together to capture the knowledge into technical processes to implement improvements in logistic activities. You’ll be working closely with the team, but also independently.

You’ll play an important role in:

• maintaining and improving technical knowledge in the maritime field
• contributing to the analyses of vessel performance
• supporting the tender process for chartering of CTVs and SOVs with technical assessments and contract review
• advising on commercial tenders for future vessel spread setups, incl. analysing modelling concepts, as well as evaluating and making recommendations
• ensuring that vessel charter contracts are carried through based on balanced contracts and optimised regarding performance, time, costs and QHSE
• negotiating Service Warranty Agreements with suppliers of wind turbines with focus on logistics.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a degree in naval architecture, alternatively mechanical engineering, marine engineering or have similar skills gained from extensive experience
• have a broad background from the maritime industry incl. ship design, shipbuilding, operation, inspections, contract negotiations, and consultancy
• have some experience within the fields of offshore wind turbine installation and/or vessel coordination and performance, preferably from offshore construction projects
• have experience from contract negotiations with good knowledge of BIMCO being considered an asset
• are a good team player, thrive in an international environment, and can create lasting relationships with your global stakeholders
• are proactive in getting inspiration to his field of expertise with new ideas from conferences, articles and own curiosity have strong.
