Lundbeck is searching for a Senior Treasury Manager with a keen interest and experience in Corporate Treasury Funding & Risk. A treasury professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, is energized by challenges, and motivated by making a difference.

As Senior Treasury Manager, you will be part of a truly global organization and get broad exposure to all aspects within the treasury area, including but not limited to exploring funding and financing solutions to support the strategy, operate and enhance financial risk management and optimize cash & liquidity management. The Treasury team is centralized with front-office tasks operated out of HQ. In addition, there is support by a treasury operations back-office (in Lundbeck Group Business Services) located in Krakow, Poland who handles a large part of the day-to-day controlling tasks. There is close collaboration between the two teams and the setup allows to focus on value-adding, tactical and strategic aspects of treasury which include driving strategic projects that enables overall support to the corporate strategy.

Meet the Team
You will be joining a collaborative team of three, responsible for the global treasury and insurance disciplines. Each person in the team is mainly responsible for their own area, but we focus on collaborating as a team in all areas and some areas are shared. Therefore, it is possible to some extent to tailor the role to the right candidate’s interest and expertise.

The department you will be working in is part of Group Finance, which consists of areas covering Group Tax, Group Financial Reporting, ESG & Compliance and Business Finance (FP&A, R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial Finance). In Group Finance, we aim for being a catalyst for the overall Lundbeck strategy of becoming a Focused Innovator and our work is characterized by a collaborative working environment, professionalism, and high performing teams.

Treasury reports to the SVP of Group Finance and has extensive cooperation with other teams in Group Finance, subsidiaries, executive management as well as external parties such as banks, brokers, advisors, etc. The position will report to the Head of Treasury & Insurance.

Location – Valby; flexibility to work from home part of the time is possible.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an ambitious performance-oriented person with a can-do attitude and the ability to drive and improve the current setup. We will support you in growing as a Treasury professional while assuring that you get your own areas of responsibility from day one.

The position requires broad experience within the key areas of treasury such as e.g. funding, financial risk management, reporting, working capital, liquidity management, etc. The right candidate and person is more important to us than the level of experience in a specific area, as we value long-term teamwork and finding the right talent. This entails a person with a mindset that praises collaboration, communication and humbleness combined with ability to problem-solve and perform in a time-sensitive situation.

Our preferred candidate has qualifications or experience in some of the following areas:

  • Funding & Financing (e.g. actively involved in preparing funding structure for M&A).
  • Cash & liquidity management.
  • Produce and develop Treasury Reporting (key KPIs, policy measures and explanations)
  • Key driver in dialogue with auditors regarding Treasury areas such as i.e. financial cost/income, hedging impact, etc.
  • Risk management (e.g. Interest and FX management) including active trading and strategy in both day-to-day and ad-hoc strategic situations such as M&A, etc.
  • Managing insurance programs, including renewals, negotiations, and analysis of optimal insurance levels.
  • TMS systems knowledge and experience
  • Further develop and optimize reporting tools and procedures within Treasury.
  • Ad hoc projects

Experience
We imagine that you have:

  • Preferably, experience from similar global Corporate Treasury or Corporate Finance, Banking, Treasury consultancy or similar.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.

Other skills
We imagine that you possess:

  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills (English is required).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manage large data sets and present results in a clear way.
  • Great stakeholder management skills.
