About your role
As Sustainability Consultant in GlobalConnect, you will collaborate with your closest colleagues, currently 4 people based in Copenhagen, and the wider organization, focusing on implementing our sustainability strategy and reducing our impact on the environment. You will engage with the organization across the Nordics, both virtually and in-person.

Your responsibilities will include working in partnership with the team and our management colleagues to further develop and implement our sustainability strategy and initiatives to fulfil our commitments including SBTi-affiliated carbon reduction targets that are essential to our company's Sustainability Linked Loan Agreement. Furthermore, you will contribute to the growth and expertise of our workforce by facilitating skill-building opportunities for our employees and conducting workshops to engage key stakeholders.

In this role, you are expected to work with various projects across the sustainability sphere, from further developing our customer carbon calculator solution to investigating and implementing initiates to integrate biodiversity in our projects. Lastly, your role involves the regular preparation of status reports, including action plans, progress updates, timelines, and comprehensive assessments of risks and corresponding mitigation actions across your projects.

The role is part of the CEO Office with a direct report to our Head of Sustainability.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • 2-3 years of experience with sustainability and project management, preferably from management consultancy.
  • Managed projects and/or workstreams, including coordinating with different teams, steering committee meetings, project plans and risk management from all levels in the organization.
  • Experience with complex analyses and assessments with an ability to translate it into actionable recommendations to the business.
  • A degree on Bachelor’s level, for example within Business, Sustainability, Economics or engineering and business proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality, bringing a positive and ambitious mindset into our team and your work.

WHO we are looking for
We are seeking a quick learner with a commercial and proactive mindset who can drive our sustainability initiatives forward. Your strong analytical skills and project management capabilities will be essential in developing and executing our strategy. With a passion for sustainability and your abilities within project and stakeholder management, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our sustainability efforts as we approach our 2030 goals. This includes delivering on various sustainability projects across the organization, such as streamlining our sustainability offerings to customers, calculating and reporting on our GHG emissions, developing new circular initiatives, and promoting biodiversity.

You are comfortable with producing materials and being part of presenting for senior stakeholders, outlining the status of relevant initiatives and the decisions necessary for their advancement.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

  • You will serve as a project leader or project member, collaborating closely with your team members focused on activating stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Collect relevant data across the organization to compile relevant reports.
  • Communicate, collaborate, network, and manage different stakeholders in an international and complex organization, and build relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers.
  • Arrange and assess information, as well as adhere to timelines, whether working solo or partnered with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • You analyze the current situation, ideate with the business to scope, and prioritize initiatives that continue to push GlobalConnect in a sustainable direction.
