The Service Line Manager will be responsible for the Wear Solutions service line in Europe and North Africa, identify business opportunities, generate leads, and foster client relationships to meet or exceed sales goals, support installation assistance as well as inspection and measurements on-site, including wear reports. Ensure customer support, troubleshooting and participate in customer seminars and presentations. Travel within the specific region to drive the growth and offer technical expertise for the Wear Solutions service line.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of customers and their consumables throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manage customer relationships, improving aftermarket growth and increasing client base including technical visits, trials, and support.
  • Assessing customer needs and recommending the most suitable products/solutions.
  • Provide support and training for regions and customers.
  • Identify and develop new businesses in the region.
  • Manage or coordinate with the proposal & engineering team the provision of accurate and timely quotations.
  • Coordinate sales/ technical teams in the respective region.
  • Provides feedback to the business regarding customer needs and market intelligence.
  • Providing market intelligence related to competitor and market activity and disseminating to the GSLM’s and Sales Manager
  • Maintain opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Monitor the industry for updates and changes in the product landscape.
  • Drive the implementation of regional sales plans, budgets, and sales activities for the assigned region to achieve short and long-term sales goals.
  • Management of the service line including forecast, OI, Revenue, and Contribution Margin for designated regions
  • Support/own inventory levels in designated regions ensuring consumables availability.
  • Be able to perform health checks on customers' sites, review data, and present feedback.
  • Guide Service Line GSLMs/Engineering on market trends to further adapt consumables.
  • Work closely with product line, engineering, and sales teams across FLS.
  • Supply chain and manufacturing support.
  • Support the development of specific marketing documents to place solutions for primary benefits.
  • Submit regular sales and product reports and ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance within the company’s CRM, ERP, and related systems.
  • Self-driven and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to support the proposal department on complex solutions.
  • Guide Wear Solutions GSLMs on market trends to further adapt parts and consumables.

What you bring

  • Proven track record and solid experience within the mining/industrial sector. Specific experience with heavy industrial products and/or systems is a plus.
  • Strong experience with consumable products.
  • Mechanical Background, able to read and understand Mechanical drawings.
  • Deep product and competitor knowledge to develop effective sales strategies and objection-handling techniques.
  • Good communication skills, written and spoken. Capable of communicating complex concepts to customers in simple terms.
  • Able to travel up to 75%, domestic and international travel.
  • Must be physically able to climb onto structures and stairs in industrial plants and mines.
