Nine United is looking for a highly motivated Contract Sales Responsible to join their team based in the Rijsenhout Showroom, in order to bring experience and a network in the Dutch Contract Furniture & Lighting business, and generate Demand in commercial projects such as Hospitality, Workspaces and public areas. You will be in charge of promoting our brands &Tradition Frandsen Bespoke, NINE and Verpan, and contribute defining our commercial distribution strategy, and expedite growth of these brands on the project market.

  • Business Development Building and managing strong relationships with existing dealer network, architectural and design practices, whilst exploring the potential of new prospects, in order to optimise the growth of &Tradition, Frandsen Bespoke, NINE and Verpan, on the Dutch Contract market.
    • Presentation Visits and presentations of the collections to dealers, specifiers, designers, and architects; Regular training in order to help build a strong knowledge of our brand’s portfolio.
    • Network You will be required to have a network of contacts in the specifying industry, and are comfortable and able to continue to expand it, and ensure and build strong relationships with dealers, specifiers, architects and designers. Working with all the influencers in order to ensure specifications progress to purchase, and generate new project lead opportunities, and turnover in the long term
  • Project Management Early project involvement from the concept or tender phase, to its install and completion on site. Controlling the process and facilitating communication between parties, thanks to a close dialog with the HQ teams in Copenhagen & Horsens.
  • Lighting Expertise Help identify Lighting specialized contractors, influencers in the Contract businesses, thanks to an existing network, in order to contribute to the expansion of this specific product category & the Bespoke capacity across the market.
  • Customer Care & Service In close cooperation with local and HQ’s Sales Support : taking care of the daily requirements, whilst managing the project pipeline, and ensuring a high level of service and communication is maintained.
  • Sales Reporting & Pipeline Forecasting Utilizing CRM and reporting tools to maintain a result-driven and customer-focused approach.
  • Showroom Hosting clients and events in the Rijsenhout Showroom.
  • Training & Travel Occasional international travel will be required to attend International exhibitions, internal meeting or training sessions. Frequent domestic travel when possible to pursue opportunities and relationships across the Netherlands.
  • Reporting to France & Benelux Director.

About you
Ideally, you have 5 years sales experience and proven track record in the contract furniture industry in Holland, with a good understanding and passion for design furniture. Experience in Lighting sales preferable but not essential. You are a natural Sales person, motivated to achieve results, and happiest spending time with clients and presenting products. You are a confident person, with strong communication and negotiation skills, and an empathetic, helpful and supportive colleague interacting well within a team and with clients.

You are positive, driven to make your challenges a success, focused on finding solutions and identifying possibilities. You possess strong time management. You recognize the value of our products and services, and you take commercially minded decisions with a long term benefit to our customers and to our business. You are familiar with the nature of a Contract Sales role, independent, sales-driven and able to balance back office needs and proactive tasks. You enjoy working in an unpretentious environment where flexibility is key and everyone helps each other.
