We are now strengthening the R&D team in Lund, with a Frontend Developer. In this role you will develop the next generation of web clients to Astro WMS®, working in a distributed Scrum team.

Astro WMS® is a market leading Warehouse Management System, “the brain of the warehouse”. The R&D team at Consafe Logistics develops the heart of the application that keeps more than 500 warehouses in 30 countries running, delivering goods to millions of customers. Being a software product company, we are always evolving our product to meet new requirements on the market and to leverage new technologies, to constantly help our customers to develop their business. At the same time, we need to keep the existing mission critical functionality running flawlessly 24x7x365 at the customer sites.

About the role
We are looking for someone who thinks that web programming and innovative user interfaces are the most fun things to do! Have you worked with it before, professionally or in hobby projects, and are open to new career opportunities?

In this role you will work on the new web front-end to our advanced WMS product in a small, agile team, requiring good analytical, architectural and communication skills. You will be responsible for technical design, development, unit testing, documentation and maintenance of the solutions.

You will work closely with the UX designers and functional experts to convert screen mockups and flow diagrams into working software. We code in Typescript using React, connecting to REST API backend services. We practice Component Driven Development, using a component library built on top of Material UI. We lean on MobX for handling the state of the application and State Machines for making the flows easy to extend and customize. In parallel with writing the code we implement automated tests both on the unit and end-to-end level. The solution is optimized for small form factor of handheld warehouse devices.

Your profile
As a person you are efficient, communicative, flexible, and work great in a team.

You have strong programming and web development skills, a professional working proficiency in English, and an interest in agile methodologies and new technologies. You are open to collaboration and keen on spreading knowledge.

We expect you to have the following experience:

• Bachelor’s or engineer’s degree, although hands-on work experience may compensate for lacks in education.
• At least 3 years of experience developing JavaScript front-end for Single Page Applications, ideally using React.
• Practical experience in creating automated unit tests.
• Using source control management system, ideally Git.
• Good, practical knowledge of English - both written and verbal.

Experience dealing with logistics solutions, such as WMS/WCS, TMS or ERP systems is an additional advantage as is working with Linux.
