Global Strategic Account Director

Overview
We are looking for a Global Strategic Account Director, based in any of our offices within Denmark, who will be responsible for accounts within the Life Science industry. Please note that we will only consider candidates currently based in Denmark or those who are willing to relocate to Denmark.

Using your expertise, you will be focused on leading the development and execution of strategies resulting in profitable growth through increased penetration of the respective accounts.

Reporting to the Industry Sales Director Life Science Europe, you will work closely with in country sales team to jointly develop new business by maximising all our systems portfolio.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the virtual Strategic Account Team team as well as support and give direction to the in-country Sales Directors and teams as a single organization to develop strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and operations to align sales initiatives with overall business
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers in major pharmaceutical companies at a global level
  • Recommend price models and framework that fits the future business outlook and enables Emerson to capture maximum orders and profitability from the account and facilitate the formation of agreements by discerning the win/win for both parties
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with existing clients
  • Report on account performance to Emerson Sales and Business Leaders with the focus on country and regional level
  • Coordinate project pursuit activities and be the liaison for specific account opportunities
  • Maintain a high degree of industry knowledge and awareness, including trends, technology advancement, accomplishments by others in the business, and state of the competition to seize new opportunities

You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions and you use that knowledge to form and articulate messages in a way that is broadly understandable.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or any related technical field
  • Extensive sales leadership, account management or related account industry marketing experience
  • Ability to develop and implement Strategic Plans
  • Proficiency in English (verbal, reading and writing)
  • Based in Denmark and be open to travel extensively across Europe

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of the industry & applicable regulations as well as T&Cs
  • Proven track record to deliver results through engaging and coordinating across a multi-country and matrix organization
  • Proficiency in Danish
