Join our team as a Cloud Platform Lead at VML MAP. We're looking for an ambitious professional to build and optimize software development tools, services, and processes. You'll work with a dynamic Product team in a leading marketing consultancy, with great opportunities for growth.

What will your day look like?
As our new Cloud Platform Lead, you will be managing a team of highly skilled and dedicated people to deliver solutions and services to our large international clients. More specifically, your responsibilities and tasks include:

• Lead and drive hands-on implementations of cloud infrastructure (Azure and GCP) using tools such as Azure DevOps pipelines, Containerization, Helm and Kubernetes.
• Develop, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure through Terraform.
• Inspire a high-performance team of platform and DevOps engineers with cases for utilizing cloud platforms to automate, operate, and scale software solutions.
• Ensure adoption in the application development teams by leading with examples of processes and best practices developed by you and people on your team.
• Innovate, optimize, and automate our SDLC and CI/CD processes.
• Support our QA engineering team in their effort to automate the testing done pre-releases.
• Implement appropriate monitoring of endpoints, services, and systems to support site reliability (SRE) management for highest uptime and fastest incident resolution.

You will be working with software developers, platform engineers, architects, supporters, and project managers in a product department of over 50 people. You will have competent teammates from around the world who always go the extra mile to help one another. We are a flat organization that values growing the talents of our people, and many of our team members have been with the agency for a decade or longer.

What do you bring to the table?
You are passionate about the cloud, building software, and the tools and processes to support it. As a fast learner, you embrace change to meet the goals set by the business and your team. You are comfortable working in C#, Java, or Python, and proficient with command line interfaces in both Linux Shell and Windows PowerShell.

Specifically, you have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with building and maintaining cloud IT infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience with SDLC and CI/CD processes.
• 3+ years of experience with a major programming language.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Ideally, you also have:

• Solid experience deploying production infrastructure using Terraform.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes in production settings.
• Experience with multiple public cloud providers.
• Knowledge of marketing and marketing automation systems.
