About the programme
The two-year graduate programme, at the NIRAS Life Science Academy is a fulltime job working on client assignments gaining hands-on consulting experience. This is a unique combination of on-the-job training, learning modules, professional mentoring and personal development coaching.

We follow a “learn by doing” principle through close interaction with both colleagues, customers and vendors in order to develop your consulting and engineering toolbox - gaining valuable field expertise.

As a Dairy Engineer Junior Consultant at NIRAS, your key responsibilities will include:

• Project Development & Implementation: Lead and participate in the development and execution of projects within the dairy and ingredient sectors, focusing on innovative solutions and sustainability, including the transition to green energy.
• Client Interaction & Advisory: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and ensure the delivery of tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams, including design & engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory experts, to ensure projects are executed seamlessly and meet all standards.
• Industry Trends & Best Practices: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the food and beverage industry, particularly within dairy engineering and sustainable practices.

About you – a team player passionate about quality and project work in client assignments.
Before the programme starts you must recently have completed your master’s degree with in Dairy Science and Technology.Additionally, we imagine you possess the following qualities:

• Industry Expertise: Have a strong passion for the processing industries, especially within the dairy and ingredient sector.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data effectively.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and cross-functional teams effectively.
• Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to project execution, focusing on quality, safety, and compliance.
• Proactivity: Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in oral and written English; proficiency in Danish is an advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with food and beverage software systems is a plus.
• Experience: Previous internship or work experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required.
