In this role, you will be responsible for building innovative models that predict hydropower prices in the Nordic region. This is a critical task in the Nordic power markets, and domain knowledge within this area will give us the perfect foundation for developing market-leading hydro models. This is where you come into play, as we need a skilled person with a curious mindset to drive this important project.

Your journey as a Nordic Power Analyst
You will join a team of 4 ambitious and highly skilled traders and quantitative analysts who excel in what they do and create a fun and engaging environment to be part of. Cross-team collaboration is essential in our daily operations. Therefore, you can expect to interact with colleagues from across our organization, whether from other trading teams or our IT teams.

We will ensure you are ready to take on your new role by giving you the best possible introduction to your team, our business, and organization. Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze the hydro power influence in the Nordic power market
• Quantify hydro power producers pricing behavior with the purpose of building state-of-the-art hydro stack models
• Understand and use hydrological stack modelling research studies
• Ensure high-quality data for our models

Qualifications – we imagine that you:

• Have a master’s degree in economics, data science, mathematics, software development, physics, or a related field
• Have great programming skills, preferably in Python and SQL
• Have experience or interest in stack modeling
• Have proficiency in statistics and/or machine learning
• Have an interest in understanding energy markets and their drivers
• Can communicate fluently in English – oral and written
