In Asset Management, you will join a team of 6 talented and welcoming colleagues.

The Asset Performance Manager is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring that the Maersk Product Tanker (MPT) fleet operates at peak performance, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and profitability. You will work closely with technical and commercial managers to enhance safety and optimise the financial performance of each vessel, including oversight of dry docking and other critical maintenance activities.

You will be handling:

• Performance Management: Oversee daily operational activities to ensure that technical managers maintain the highest standards in terms of safety, environment, and reliability of the fleet
• Fleet Tradability and Safety: Ensure that technical managers maintain and enhance the tradability and safety performance of the MPT fleet, adhering to the highest industry standards
• Financial Monitoring: Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring the financial performance of individual vessels, including cost-effective strategies for dry docking
• Cost Leadership: Work with technical managers to promote cost leadership across the fleet by continuously seeking ways to reduce operational expenses (OPEX) without compromising on quality or safety
• Profitability Optimization: Engage in structured discussions with technical and commercial managers to maximize the total profitability of the vessels
• Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute strategic plans that align with the company's long-term objectives
• Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and profitable fleet operations
• Decarbonization: Lead in implementing Maersk Tankers objectives of fuel efficiency, vessel performance monitoring, CO2 reduction and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve company’s decarbonization targets

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Cost Control and Budget Adherence: Monitoring and managing the total cost of ownership (TCO) for each asset and ensuring OPEX aligns with the budget
• Off-hire Prevention: Assist with developing strategies to ensure scheduled maintenance activities are planned and coordinated with commercial operations to reduce downtime
• Fuel Efficiency: Tracking fuel consumption and support with implementing measures to improve fuel efficiency.
• Compliance and Inspections: Ensuring the fleet meets all industry and regulatory compliance and clears all third part inspections (SIRE, CDI, PSC, etc.) to avoid penalties and off-hires
• Safety Performance: Monitoring of all reported incidents and to ensure actions taken to promote safety and reduce the risk of accidents
• Cost Analysis and Deviations: Analyzing total costs to identify budget deviations and take corrective actions
• Technical Manager Service Delivery: Evaluating service delivery of the technical manager and management

• Marine based diploma or degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role within the maritime industry
• In-depth knowledge of vessel operations, financial management, and maritime regulations
• Proven track record of improving fleet performance and profitability
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
