If so, we have an exciting position for you! We are currently looking for a Senior Manager in Nutrition & Health to join our Discover team.

Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group with an ambition to become the true global leader in value-added whey and milk ingredients. The position is situated in the Discover unit in the R&D organization, in Viby, Denmark. The Discover unit consist of approximately 30 colleagues split into three multidisciplinary teams covering diverse research areas, such as food and analytical chemistry, protein chemistry and biophysics, processing technologies, nutrition research in the dairy space, milk ingredient discovery and health benefits.

As Senior Manager of the Nutrition & Health team in Discover, R&D you will;

• Execute nutrition research programs aligned with our strategic goals
• Deliver evidence-based nutritional science for whey and milk ingredients
• Conduct high-quality research on the effects of whey and milk ingredients in different life stages and metabolic conditions
• Generate mechanistic evidence of the biological and physiological effects of novel milk ingredients
• Substantiate health benefits to explore new business opportunities and translate research findings into unique selling points and support the Commercial organization
• Provide safety and efficacy documentation for regulatory approvals
• Collaborate with external academic partners and key opinion leaders
• Prioritize resources and investments in collaboration with the Discover management team
• Manage a high-performing team of scientists and foster a culture of collaboration and scientific excellence

A scientific people leader and a passion for nutrition science & strategy
Are you an experienced life scientist with expertise in nutrition science, human physiology, genetics, and cell biology? Holding a PhD with a proven track record in integrating and translating life science knowledge, you have the ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at different levels.

With a minimum of five years of industry (or academia) experience, you excel as a people manager, mentoring and developing scientific talent to create a culture of excellence. Your extensive leadership experience and ability to create strategic direction, inspire high team spirit, and build a motivational environment of trust are highly valued. You possess exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders. Above all, your passion for nutrition and health science drives you to make a meaningful impact in the field.
