Summary.
Formpipe is an established and growing document management company with offices in Cambridge, Nottingham, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, as well as many other locations around the world.

We specialise in document generation and document archiving for all industry sectors, with a particular focus on banking and ERP.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled developer with strong C++ knowledge to join an agile team of high skilled C++ developers. The successful candidate will also work in C# and with our platform team transforming legacy user interfaces into modern, efficient, and scalable UIs built with React.

Your primary role is to work on a desktop application to design and generate documents in a wide range of business formats like XML, JSON, EMF, PDF, HTML, DOCX and XLSX. Your work will include the development of new code and the maintenance and extension of existing code.

You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the project, from conception to deployment, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the front- and backend applications.

This is a role that will require a driven and motivated individual to continue pushing the project forward and someone who is confident in making decisions and delivering results. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of an integrated team that can deliver the objectives of the business. With this role, you will be given a significant degree of responsibility, autonomy, and freedom.

We like to work in an agile way, but not let agile get in the way.

Duties and Responsibilities.

• Lead the design of our desktop applications ensuring high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with C++, C# and React teams to integrate applications and services in to a single platform.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

Knowledge and Experience.
Essential:

• 3+ years of C++ experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Solid understanding of C++ fundamentals.
• Experience working with Qt frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with front-end and back-end applications.
• Working in an agile team with focus on UI/UX skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• 5+ years of C++ experience.
• Experience with C#, SQL, JavaScript, ReAct, TypeScript.
  
• Experience using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience with Windows EMF and PDF formats.
