Then you might be our new PLM Trainer!

Your challenges
As our new PLM Trainer, you will be an integral part of the Product Lifecycle Management team which focuses on training deliverables for Windchill RV&S. The team members are based in Østbirk and Hørsholm, and you will be based in Østbirk. You will report to the Director of Product Lifecycle Management (Ida de Jong Krarup) and become part of our team of 14 colleagues that are part of the Technology and Modularisation department within VELUX Innovation Center. In our department we have an architect for our different PLM systems, a Lead Architect, a PLM Trainer in Windchill PDMLink and Creo, a PLM Operations Lead, 2 Project Managers, an Agile Coach, and 3 student assistants.

In our team, topics are discussed in a casual tone and with a high degree of interaction between you and your colleagues, and we highly appreciate and support a collaborative environment.

In your role, you will

  • Lead, define, maintain & deliver training modules and programmes (e.g. Requirement Management, Software Requirement Management, Test Management, Ordering Tests, Risk Management, etc.) and programmes (in Workday)
  • Have the overall responsibility for maintaining Windchill RV&S training material (updating training videos to reflect changes in functionality and processes).
  • Author, deliver and maintain training material for Windchill RV&S (training videos, training slides, FAQs, cheat sheets & classroom training)
  • Work closely together with Subject Matter Experts, Business Process Owners and PLM Operations.
  • Collaboration with Windchill RV&S SMEs to ensure relevant business documentation is maintained and current. E.g. Business Process Guidelines and System Descriptions.
  • Ensure that information/documentation on our Windchill RV&S support site is accurate and up-to-date (in collaboration with PLM Student Assistants).
  • Promote/Advertise Windchill RV&S to business stakeholders – improve adoption/user satisfaction/user confidence

Once you get settled in the role, we would also like you to focus on the following topics.

  • Assist managing and planning our quarterly Windchill RV&S system releases in collaboration with our Architect/application partner (Planning release milestones, development efforts, release scope, Release Board Meetings).
  • Lead on planning initiatives (with PLM Operations) to resolve “pain points” captured in our yearly PLM Survey
  • Assist authoring communication material for our quarterly Windchill RV&S system releases (Release Notes, What’s New Videos, Viva Engage and Support Site updates)
  • Capture and mature business needs, rationale and business benefits on User Stories – handover to Architect for technical refinement/opportunities

You should expect 5-10 travel days within Denmark (typically to Hørsholm HQ) per year.

Your qualifications
It is essential and required that you

  • Bring experience with both class room training and virtual trainings, and preferably within training focused on systems and processes.
  • Have a natural and dedicated interest in getting to know (and test) the system at hand, with the purpose of understanding it better before training others.
  • Are an outgoing person, who feels comfortable talking to and engaging our system users.
  • Speak and write English proficiently

It is seen as a benefit if you

  • Have experience working with Windchill RV&S, or a similar Application Lifecycle Management tool (e.g. IBM Doors, Code beamer).
  • Have experience working in Agile Operations setup (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Are able to have a conversation in Danish (minimum intermediate understanding and speak)
