Job Description
Danfoss Fire Safety is currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to drive our sales projects within fixed firefighting systems under the brand name SEM-SAFE®.
Our firefighting systems are based on two key technologies: high-pressure water mist and low-pressure CO2. We are engineering a safer tomorrow for people and assets in buildings, industry, and the marine sector.

The position is located in Odense, Denmark.
It is required to work out of the local site on regular basis, but the role will be global, supporting cross-functional collaboration and in building skills and competencies within and outside the team. You should also expect some business travels to primarily Asia (est. 5-10 days pr. year).

Job Responsibilities
Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following 3 areas:

Sales Support:
· Collaboration with the sales team: Partnering with sales representatives to develop and execute sales strategies, providing the necessary technical insight.

· Proposal and Quotation Development: Assisting in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals), ensuring that all technical aspects are accurately represented.

· Competitive Analysis: Analyzing and presenting the strengths and weaknesses of competitors' products to highlight the advantages of our offerings.

Technical Consultation and Expertise:
· Solution Development: Working with our customers to understand their requirements and developing solutions that fit their needs.

· Technical Support: Providing pre-sales technical support and addressing any technical questions or concerns that customers may have.

Customer Relationship Management:
· Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.

· Feedback Loop: Acting as a conduit between customers and the product development team, relaying customer feedback and market demands to help refine and improve products.

· Post-Sales Follow-Up: Ensuring customer satisfaction after the sale by providing ongoing technical support and assistance.

Background & Skills
To be considered for this role, you should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (ex. Technology Management and Marine Engineering), while also having a strong understanding and experience from the marine industry.
As you will become part of a team with multi-lingual colleagues, you need to be fluent in English – speaking and writing. Danish will be an advantage.

To succeed in this position, we expect you to have Skills and Qualifications within:
· Technical Expertise: A deep Technical understanding, preferable experience from marine business.

· Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen and the ability to persuade and influence customers, often requiring experience in sales or customer-facing roles.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Problem-Solving Ability: The ability to quickly understand and address customer problems with appropriate technical solutions.

· Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
