The position
As Associate Manager for one of our operational QC teams, you will be setting the direction for the laboratory technicians and professionals, providing clear paths towards success. Core task is timely handling of samples to be analysed - in parallel work on various other tasks such as validations, equipment, problem solving, improvements, questions from authorities ect. You will naturally lead by example and drive performance by being a highly visible manager who provides guidance and coaching to your employees. You rely on daily resource planning, robust work standards and you set clear expectations, do process confirmations and coaching to support your employees.

You will collaborate closely with our department management team and act as one united function securing success of the entire department. The position offers great opportunities for personal and professional development, your responsibilities will be diverse and reach beyond the department as result of your collaboration with other associate managers across departments.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you:

• hold a relevant Master’s degree – in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or maybe Biology or the like.
• have at least a few years of managing under your belt, either as team leader or heading complex projects.
• know your way around QC operations and have natural preference for a systematic approach to resource planning, making good work standards and proactive take the required measures to secure a smooth workflow.

Your extensive people skills make it easy for you to build and maintain trustful relations across and beyond the organization – on all professional levels. You are curious by nature and like to see things in real life, you communicate directly and realize what you just said. By nature, you have a positive attitude, you prioritize involvement, knowledge sharing and appreciation.

About the department
QC in Gentofte is part of Novo Nordisk, which delivers products for the treatment of rare diseases. Our QC area consist of five departments and handles QC analysis supporting our production facilities. Our department's area of responsibility is microbiological analysis and handling of stability and reference samples. The analytical work embrace eg. sterility test, microbial count, environmental samples, endotoxin, mycoplasma and virus test.

We are approximately 80 motivated and talented colleagues divided into five operational teams; four QC teams and a stability/reference sample team. Your new department is especially characterized by high professionalism, quality mindset and an informal tone.
