On behalf of Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S – G&O Maritime Group, MARPRO Group is looking for an Area Sales Manager.

Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S is a technology and manufacturing company, globally recognized as a leading supplier of cylinder lubrication systems for two-stroke marine engines used on the largest tankers, bulk carriers, and container ships. Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S controls its own manufacturing of pumps, valves, and the equipment required for its solutions. The products address challenges in shipping such as cold corrosion, increased costs, new energy regulations, and demands for sailing speed. The company's primary customers are shipping companies and engine manufacturers.

In 2022, Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S became part of the Danish company G&O Maritime Group, which is a cluster of maritime companies covering various needs aboard vessels. The position refers to the Head of Sales in Hans Jensen Lubricators A/S with initial strong support from sales colleagues in the G&O Maritime Group as well as an aftersales team. Location can be both from the Head Quarters in Lyngby and from Hadsund.

The primary focus is to sell complete lubrication systems for new buildings or on retrofit basis. It will, however, also be relevant to include other services in your dialogue with our clients such as Long-Term Service Contracts, HJ Smartlink Internet connectivity, Cylinder Condition Optimization Programs etc. You will in order to succeed in the newbuilding market have to manage a wide range of stakeholders in sales projects including Engine designers, Engine Builders and Owners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that sales targets are met
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Conduct market research and analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally
  • Monitor and manage sales pipeline
  • Participate in industry events and networking activities

Professional Competencies required for this role

  • A relevant degree, e.g. Naval Architect, Marine Engineer, Dual Officer, Navigation Officer etc.
  • At least 3 years of working experience and proven track record within technical sales in the maritime industry
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of sales processes
  • Broad experience in maritime technology and a general interest in technical matters
  • Maritime 2 stroke engine experience is a plus
  • Strong CRM experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Solid proficiency in English
  • Permission to work in Denmark
