In MFT Energy we trade energy to make markets efficient and to facilitate the green transition. We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our ambitious Intraday team with experienced colleagues, who strive to be the best every day.

The job as Quantitative Analyst
As our new Quantitative Analyst, you will become part of a professional and dedicated algorithmic trading team. Our team contributes to developing autonomous trading strategies in the European intraday power market using cutting-edge technologies and trading methodologies.
The team consists of a highly diverse set of individuals, all with a common passion for data-driven trading and a goal to create the most sophisticated setup in the industry.
Your work areas will be within programming new trading strategies as well as supporting the improvement of our current trading setup. You will be reporting to our Head of Algorithmic Trading, Daniel Vibe.

Your key responsibilities

• Research new market opportunities
• Develop new trading strategies using machine learning and market knowledge
• Contribute to existing trade signal and execution frameworks
• Benchmark and evaluate external forecast providers
• Optimize our active trade execution algorithms
• Acquire and maintain data from external sources

Your qualifications and personal skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience from a similar role or top of your university class
• Quantitative background in Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or similar
• Experience with Python and standard libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, etc.
• Master machine learning and data-science fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
• Strong analytic skills and an eye for detail
• The ability to work independently and structure your workload
• A positive and competitive attitude, but at the same time a valued team player
• Have a curious mind and the courage to take on a steep learning curve
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, as our company language is English
