Development Engineer, Direct Debit

About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled Development Engineer specialised in C#, to join our Direct Debit Operation team in Regensburg, where you will be reporting to the Head of Direct Debit Operation.

In this role you will get the chance to work on a high-volume payment system that supports large financial corporations and be involved in the development of APIs and backend solutions while working with Microsoft Azures serverless infrastructure and Azure Durable Functions to create and maintain scalable and resilient applications.

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core
• Utilize Microsoft Azures serverless infrastructure, including Azure Functions and Azure Durable Functions
• Design and implement database solutions and queries for SQL and NoSQL databases
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Collaborate closely with other developers through pair programming to implement new features and solve complex problems
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Conduct code reviews and continuously improve our codebase
• Plan, estimate effort, implement, and document development tasks and projects

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have gained a strong experience in Software Engineering within C# and .NET Core. You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar fields.

You have solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, and a strong understanding of agile development processes and tools, such as Scrum, Azure Devops etc. Furthermore, experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure Durable Functions would be very beneficial to succeed in the role.

As a person you are pro-active, responsible, and quality oriented. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, you have a structured way of working and courage to try new things. You are dependable and knowledge-sharing team-player.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English verbally and in writing. If you master German, it will be an asset.
